Building the Book Continued

This is a scanned images of the front and cover of the book as it is today. I expect that at the finish of this "project" both the front and the back, which is not decorated at all will look vastly different. I was a little worried after having filled up the cover that no one will ad anything further to it for fear of covering up someone else's work. I hope that this blog will prevent that from happening, as each can be scanned, or photographed before it is sent on to the next person and posted here, preserving any changes.
I picked the photo of the dachshund because it reminded me of Nancy, she had the cutest little doggie when I first knew her. Her name was Schotzie (not sure if I spelled that correctly). She was such a friendly little dog and used to run with Mellissa from the back of the hallway to the living room then jump off the step.  This was in her house on 5th Street
Elise and I watched Across the Universe while she was here visiting earlier this month and then we spent hours listening to the soundtrack afterwards, and once she saw the "Come Together" speech bubble in a magazine she just had to add it to the cover, followed by rest of verse from the song right below it. Very clever Elise.

There's also a cut out of what looks like one of the poseable figures from Ikea on here, which always makes me think of when Elise and I (and some other friends) pulled a "While You Were Out" on Mellissa and decorated her entire apartment, mostly with items from Ikea.  We purchased a collection of these poseable figures and lined them up in her big picture window.  Five years later and they are now in the kitchen window of her new apartment.
Anyhow, enjoy the book and please, feel free to decorate either the front or back cover as much as you would like. The inside covers are also free for all to decorate.

  1. I can't wait to see the finished product! I am going to be writing to Kelsey (Kyle's little sister), she in turn will write to Kyle. Kyle will then write to Mellissa.. this book has a long journey ahead (=

  2. Mellissa will be writing to Nancy Colson, my step mother... that sounds weird, or maybe creepy, like she's evil or something. Very wicked, Cinderalla type step mother, she's just like that. Ha! Totally kidding, although we do have fun picking on my dad together, I don't know if there's anyone that's further from the Cinderalla step mother than Nancy.
